da poker： Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is hoping to be able to keep veteran Dutch midfielder Boudewijn Zenden at the Stadium of Light beyond the end of the season.
da pixbet： The 33-year-old former Liverpool and Chelsea man has scored twice in 18 appearances for the Black Cats, but Zenden has made just two starts after suffering a number of minor injury niggles.
Bruce told The Chronicle:"Bolo is probably a bit disappointed he hasn't started more. To be fair, when I was looking for him to start games, if I look back at the records, he picked up a couple of niggly injuries.
"That's par for the course at his age and it meant I couldn't play him, but he's done very well and I like to have him involved.
"And the one thing he has helped me with is the development of the young players. If you watch him as an older pro, he's a great pro.
"So I will sit down with him over the next 24, 48 hours and see what he wants to do. I would like to keep him for another year, because he's got something to offer."
Zenden had earlier stated:"I am here to play and I would have liked more minutes on the pitch, but that's the way it goes.
