da betsul: Charlton rounded off their season in spectacular style, with an emphatic 4-0 win over Rochdale and other results going the Addicks’ way meaning the SE7 outfit climbed to third place in the table – a finish which gives them an advantage in the play-offs.
Lyle Taylor scored a customary goal – his 24th strike of the season – and thus finished the league campaign in the desired form ahead of the crucial promotion clashes. Without the big number 9’s goals, Addicks fans would surely be looking back on this season very differently.
The 29-year-old has shouldered the goalscoring burden placed upon him when Karlan Grant departed in January and was appropriately recognised for his contributions as he was named 2019 Player of the Year on Sunday.
